The Club Championship has been designed to be inclusive, giving every member the opportunity to take part, earn points throughout the year, and compete for awards.
The championship has been created to encourage members to get out racing, support local events, and proudly wear the club vest throughout the year. Whether it's a large, well-established race or a small local event, every opportunity to represent Griffithstown Harriers helps support the running community and showcases our club.
Just as importantly, the championship is designed to create a fun, friendly, and supportive competitive environment where members can challenge themselves, encourage one another, and celebrate each other's achievements. Every point counts, and every member has the opportunity to make a valuable contribution.
Championship awards will include:
Male Club Champion
Female Club Champion
Male & Female Race Champions (based on 8 Championship races)
Male & Female Age Category Champions
We will also recognise members who take part throughout the season with a Club Championship memento (eligibility rules apply).
There are points to be collected at the EWCRRC (East Wales Clubs Road Race Championships), GLCL, Parkrun and selected Relays.

Specific rules for the 2026 championships
Club championship memento will be award to each member who completes 8 or more races in the year and completes the 5 handicap race series (Volunteering also counts towards your handicap count).
Members must enter races as Griffithstown Harriers and wear the club Green and Blue vest or t-shirt in order to earn points.
Any eventualities not covered by these rules, need to be raised with the Club Championship Co-ordinators (Marc and Jo) at the earliest opportunity, and any decision is final.
